The Art of
Making Feather Fans
For ages, native peoples have believed that birds were magical messengers to Spirit, carrying our prayers and intents to the heavens as they flew between Earth and Sky.

Trained by Cherokee, Navajo and Pueblo medicine/road men, Diana learned to make ceremonial fans for the Native American Church. She now brings those skills and information, adapted for the general public, to teach you how to create sacred fans for use in ceremony, smudging, cord cutting, feng shui and clearing.

Learn why certain feathers, woods, leathers and ornaments and are used, and how to keep it all stable in a tool that, through use, becomes charged with life and energy.

Bring items important to you (crystals, talismans, beads) and your own feathers, or you can purchase macaw and wild turkey at the workshop. Handles, leathers, trim feathers and other supplies are provided as part of the cost.
